HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
In honor of the occasion, I wanted to display a work by one of my favorite 'rooster' painters: Anita Mosher. We both studied classical realism with the same teacher, Elvie Davis, at the Boulder Academy of Art here in Colorado. Although we were there at different times, it was wonderful to discover a kindred spirit who came through a similar lineage! Anita is a founding signature member of Plein Air Artists Colorado and is a signature member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painter’s Society (NOAPS) and the Outdoor Painters Society. She is a principle member of Brushstrokes studio-gallery, along with Kit Hevron Mahoney, John K. Harrell and Kelly Berger, a unique space where not only can you see their work displayed, but see the artists at their easels, and engage them about their work. Brushstrokes is located at 1487 S. Broadway, Denver, CO 80210. Phone 303-871-0800 or visit: Tuesday - Saturday 11am to 5pm or by appointment.
