Fall is my favorite time of year! The sky is clear and somehow bluer. And the temps are mercifully cooler. Although lately we've had a few days in the 90's, Yet the trees know what time of year it is and are beginning to turn. Our notice of Nature is somehow lost in the plethora of green during the summer, it now reasserts its self into our consciousness and reminds us how precious and spectacular it is as we transition into the zen of winter. My inner child enjoys crunching thru dry leaves and sifting thru nature's debris. I love finding little miracles of color lying on the ground which I can scoop up and bring home. I press my favorites between the pages of my biggest books to preserve these treasured 'artifacts' of this most amazing time. Shown is a small to-scale watercolor still life I did back in '83 from such wonderful finds. Now these are my kind of found objects!

"All I ever wanted was a shoulder to crayon." -- Banksy My latest crayon painting has been two years in the making! I was planning a series of paintings. This is the second of that series. The first was completed in 2014 and donated to Project Angel Heart's Art for Life Auction. This second one was started not long after for a painting demo outside my former gallery, Duel Design, (see photo at left), but was left to 'marinate' until today. So after all these years, may I present: CRAYONS 7-2 Acrylic on canvas 12 x 12 x 3/4 inches Price: $200 USD and $15 for shipping within the US. for therein lies the true strength and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.” -- Vincent Van Gogh |
