Fall is my favorite time of year! The sky is clear and somehow bluer. And the temps are mercifully cooler. Although lately we've had a few days in the 90's, Yet the trees know what time of year it is and are beginning to turn. Our notice of Nature is somehow lost in the plethora of green during the summer, it now reasserts its self into our consciousness and reminds us how precious and spectacular it is as we transition into the zen of winter. My inner child enjoys crunching thru dry leaves and sifting thru nature's debris. I love finding little miracles of color lying on the ground which I can scoop up and bring home. I press my favorites between the pages of my biggest books to preserve these treasured 'artifacts' of this most amazing time. Shown is a small to-scale watercolor still life I did back in '83 from such wonderful finds. Now these are my kind of found objects!
