Le Grande Petit Duex is Core New Art Space's Small Art Two exhibit. It is a show of small works, 12x12" or under, juried by Valerie Savarie of Valkarie Gallery in BelMar. I have a piece in the show, Crayons 7-2, shown at left. (The exhibit is one of the many cultural events happening around town during Denver Arts Week, which runs thru Sunday.) The Grande Petit Duex exhibit runs from today, Thursday November 10th through Sunday, November 27th. The gallery is located at 900 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204. Hours are Thursdays and Saturdays - Noon-6, Fridays - Noon-9, Sundays 1-4. The artists reception is tomorrow, Friday November 11th from 6-9. I really love the outstanding cover art of the New Yorker. And of course the cartoons. This year's Halloween cover was a dual, or is it duel image? of possible Presidential inauguration scenarios. Above it shows Hillary being sworn in with her hand on the bible being held by an adoring Bill. Below, is Trump, hand on bible... being held by Putin! Definitely makes my hair stand on end. But I think my all time favorite, shown above, is this Halloween offering from exactly 8 years ago. Yep, my sentiments exactly!
